Validating website after Go Live
Steps for reviewing and approving your website during the Launch Phase.
- To ensure you are looking at the LATEST version of your live website, clear your browser cache and open your live website URL on a new tab.
- The CTS team reviews the live website pages for useability and functionality on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Clients should also review their live website for usability and functionality (validate that forms, links, and integrations work as expected).
- IMPORTANT! The way a website displays can vary based on monitor size due to several factors:
- Modern websites often use responsive design techniques to adapt their layout to different screen sizes. This means the website’s elements (like text, images, and navigation menus) rearrange themselves to fit the screen, whether it’s a large desktop monitor or a small smartphone.
- Different monitors have different resolutions (the number of pixels displayed on the screen) and aspect ratios (the ratio of width to height). A website might look more stretched or compressed depending on these factors.
- Different browsers and user settings (like zoom level) can also affect how a website is displayed. Some browsers might render fonts or images slightly differently, leading to variations in appearance.
- Share any issues you see with your Project Manager or Project Coordinator (preferably in a single document including screenshots). Any errors made by the CTS team will be resolved as quickly as possible, and then communicated to you for your validation and final sign-off/approval.
- After final approval, any change requests to approved pages will be treated as additional scope for the project. If you wish to make an edit to any of the approved pages, let us know and your Project Manager or Project Coordinator will follow up with you regarding any additional budget and timeline necessary.
