Validating Prototype Pages in staging environment
Steps for reviewing and approving Prototype pages during the Development Phase
- Open the staging link provided by your Project Manager or Project Coordinator to view your website in the staging environment.
- The CTS team reviews your prototype pages against approved mockup requirements for accuracy and completion - on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. Clients should review their prototype pages to validate that the layout, formatting, forms, links, headers/footers, menus, images and written content all appear and function as expected.
- Share any issues you see with your Project Manager or Project Coordinator (preferably in a single document including screenshots). Capture any requested edits or errors into a single round of changes for our team to implement.
- After the requested changes are made in the staging environment, your Project Manager or Project Coordinator will communicate that the changes are ready for your review.
- IMPORTANT! To ensure you are looking at the LATEST version of your staging website, be sure to clear your browser cache and open your staging website on a new tab.
- From your browser, close any tabs that have your staging website open.
- Clear your browser cache (see link below for steps on specific browsers).
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Safari on Mac
- On a new tab, open the staging link provided by your Project Manager or Project Coordinator to view your website in the staging environment.
- After final review, please provide final approval for each prototype page, so we can move onto the build out stage to create any remaining pages in the staging environment.
- After the prototype pages are final approved, any change requests for those pages will be treated as additional scope for the project. If you wish to make an edit to any of the approved prototype pages, let us know and your Project Manager or Project Coordinator will follow up with you regarding any additional budget and timeline necessary.
